Insert: "Mar 5th Friday I saw the 9th Brigade & found the Brigade Major Wavell& Staff Captain D.S. but unfortunately was unable to find General Douglas Smith, commanding the Brigade I was sorry for I wished to tell him how very highly his Divisional, & Corps Commanders spoke of him & his staff & the way they had reestablished the supremacy of the Britisher in that area since they came up from the 2nd Corps."
