their wire, and one or two men went out. A German immediately came forward & gave himself up - he is an Alsatian & we may possibly get some information out of him. Apr 11-14 very quiet on our front during the day & not much firing at night. The 22nd Bavarian Regiment faces us & Prussians on the right of them again: the former are said to be the better soldiers and are very obedient, standing in great awe of their officers. The prisoner referred to on the 10th said they were not being well fed, that their line was not strongly held that they did not expect to be attacked - confident Germany was going to win - Von Hindenburg would probably do the trick
