Major Dela Bire, Royal Scots Fusiliers arrives to take over command of Royal Scots Fusiliers I have kept a list of material which we used during our last tour in the trenches - it shows what a lot of work is got through in the time, & will give an idea of what material is required - Sandbags 53,400, wire knife rests 230, Floor gratings 268, Mud scoops 21, Corrugated iron sheets 190, Wooden pickets 700, hurdles 20. In addition to this many coils of wire were used for entanglements. Mar 26 Relieve 13th Brigade in right Section of the trenches - reliefs completed at 11.15pm with only two casualties - a quiet night & very little firing Mar 27 Very cold all day - froze hard last night.
