1.30pm with 4 battalions and arrive at YPRES at 5pm. The battalions marched very well considering all the work they had done in the trenches. Visit General Bulfin Commanding the 29th Division from whom I receive orders to take up a position on the north bank of the canal to prevent a German advance & to support the 85th Brigade - two battalions to take up this position and two others to remain at Ypres.
