them were knocked out on August 2. 4 August 1916 The 14th Corps has now 2 divisions in the line and the Guards Division in reserve. In addition the 25th Division is also attached for the present. The Divisional artillery of the 38th Division which has been covering our front is to be relieved by the Guards Artillery. The Corps Heavy Artillery now consists of 15 inch Howitzer 1 12 inch Howitzer 1 9.2 inch Howitzer 12 8 inch Howitzer 8 6 inch Howitzer 12 6 inch Mark VII 4 60 pounders 32 4.7 guns 8 The Germans are very persistent with their trench mortars & do very little shooting with their artillery.
