On 11th at 10am 1/2 'C' Company under Bissett & Anderson advanced through the wood to attack; we reached the garden wall & defended it till 3am on 12th. Orders received to retake all of the trenches captured by Germans 1/2 Company divided into two, one under Captain McKinnon & the other under Anderson who had orders to reach the left flank of German trench whilst McKinnon charged.
