Jan 25 A misty cold day with a hard frost last night. The lake at the Chateau is frozen over - we are expecting a possible move of the Germans tomorrow being the Kaiser's birthday & orders are issued for units to be on the qui vive. I do not think myself that anything will happen up front of us as no massing of troops has been reported. Visit redoubt 3 in the early morning & again
