both fired at each other & missed - the sentry had another shot and wounded his man but he was carried off by some of his men who formed his party - they then cleared off. There is no doubt that an extraordinary state of affairs has been going on up here for some time and the Germans have been allowed to do pretty well as they liked. All night they fired at our trenches but this has been stopped to a great extent by our firing continually at them.
