back, they can bring fire to bear right down our bit of trench. We are now making a zigzag as shown in red, from which we hope to be able to keep down the German fire & from this zigzag trench a mine is being started, which is being made by miners specially brought from home for this kind of work. It is hoped then, to mine under the German trench & blow it up, but they may be doing the same thing, so it is a question of who gets it done first.
