During the raid we only had three officers and ten men wounded which were very low casualties. Only one man was missing & he was blown up by a shell – all the wounded were safely brought back. The raid was a great success & we got identifications which were badly wanted to discover if the Germans had moved any troops to the South or made new dispositions. A good number of Germans were killed and wounded by our bombers and the guns must have accounted for many others. The men were anxious to go back and get more prisoners but this was not allowed.
