2-8 November 1916 Weather of the very worst. Gales & storms of rain.
9-14 November 1916 Brigade training carried on. Inter brigade sports competition takes place. Cross country races, football, boxing & tug of war. Great interest shown. The Army Commander inspects battalions on 13th between 11am & 4pm. Orders received to move to the Lille-Mericourt – Corbie area. The 61st Brigade to billet in 15th Corps area for the time being.
15 November 1916 Divisional Headquarters move to Corbie. Weather greatly improved. The attack of the 5th Army on the north & south of the Ancre appears to have been successful. Beaumont Hamel and St Pierre Divion captured – failed in front of Serre.
