5 June 1915 A quiet day very hot inspect the defences of ZILLEBEKE
6 June 1915 Relieved by the 150th Brigade - reliefs not over till 2.30am and we arrive at our new headquarters just as it is getting light – very nice house but within range of German guns – transport camps & guns collected in every wood & behind all the hedges. Owner of house has been advised to have his furniture removed.
7 June 1915 Still very hot. Germans shelled huts & transport close to our Head Quarters. A small fragment of shell burst through
