This is a great summer resort – lovely views [lovely – crossed out] views [sic] can be obtained of the front line, but the mist is too thick to be able to see much at present. Numerous rumours flying round to the effect that we are to go to Serbia, but personally I think we shall re occupy our old line in a fort night's time. In the mean time the battalions will have a chance of reorganizing. A quiet day – visit some of the billets farms are very large, and accommodate 200 men each in barns etc 25 October 1915 Battalions begin their training – this is a lovely bit of country. The Germans were through here at the beginning of the war, but they had no time to do any damage. 26 October 1915 The King inspects troops at RENINGHELST each Brigade sends
